Becoming The Bevy: A Year of Change, and New Beginnings...
2025 has been a year of change. Important ones. Unexpected ones. Intentional choices that will define the next decade of our business.
People often ask why we did what we did and why we divided the stores. The truth is, as partners we took a long, honest look at what we both wanted for ourselves and our futures, and then we gave those things to each other.
For me, I wanted more time with my kids, I wanted to lean into a new brand vision, and I wanted to find new ways to help people tell their story with heirloom products. Mary, had big plans for Metalmark as well and I wanted her to be able to pursue that fully, without compromise. Recognizing and allowing the other person to be exactly who they needed to be, that was the kindness we gave one another. I am eternally grateful to Mary for that. I am proud of what we built together, and deeply excited for what’s next.
Flipping the Script (Again)
With The Bevy, I’m flipping the script on fine jewelry once more.
One of the great joys of my career has been supporting and growing talent in this industry. Over the years, I’ve watched incredible women — teammates, colleagues, friends, evolve into powerhouses. Many started their journey with us and eventually spread their wings to become designers, open stores, launch private offices, and build their own visions. Watching them soar has made me so proud.
But this time, I wanted to create a business where they didn’t have to choose.
A space where they could go out and do the thing that drives them and still be part of The Bevy. Where we could all continue to be part of each other’s journey.
Building a Collective
As we roll out our new website, host events, and collaborate with incredible people, you’ll notice familiar faces from across the industry; women I’ve had the privilege of working with throughout my career. These partnerships come from a place of deep belief: that women supporting women, people supporting people, is good for all business.
The Bevy is more than a store. It’s a collective. A community of creatives, designers, and doers. We thrive on good energy, kindness, and collaboration and the belief that when one of us shines, we all shine brighter.
Gratitude and Growth
This year has been a lot and full of change, full of growth, full of heart.
But through it all, I am endlessly grateful for the people who’ve stayed part of the journey; to our clients, our collaborators, our community.
We are so proud to be designing, curating, and celebrating heirloom pieces together, the kind that tell stories and last lifetimes. Thank you for being part of The Bevy. We can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes us.
With love and gratitude,
Sam
